I am not very serious into the PvP myself, or very good at it either, but I do participate. Anyway, the point of my response to your thread is this: You can get in on some pretty intense Arena matches right now, in the Tournament Realms.
Check out Blizzard's "Arena Pass" if you are not already aware. Time is running out to register, but if you hurry, you can still get in. Practice week is almost over and the points start counting on the 8th I believe it is.
Anyway, look up Arena Pass... it costs $20... There are some requirements, such as we must participate in at least 50 Arena matches to earn the Pet... we must participate in at least 10 matches per week during the event, and the top 1000 earn the "Vanquisher" title.
As I said, I am not very good at PvP, but I participate. I usually earn my Conquest Cap each week with my regular 3's team, and then help any of me guildies who need points capped in the 2's. If you still can't find a team on SoE, hit me up and I'll see if we can fit you into one of ours. Our PvP division is pretty good and they sometimes need fillers. Hey, it could get your foot in the door with our guys.
If you decide to get into the Tournament realms, holler me up and we'll exchange toon names and perhaps you can get in with us on some of that.

Back from my forum ban because apparently I had violent threats, because "I don't like mustard" IN ANYCASE, i have an alliance btw.
Its hard to believe, but there are some ally PvPer's that are serious...just not as many as horde..

For “serious” PvP, this is not the realm to play. Nor for “serious” raid progression. If you are truly into stiff competition and cutting edge progression, this is not the place to be.
But… it’s still a nice place to play. And if you want to PvP, the Alliance side is the side you want.
Too many of the slackers went Horde, when the faction change became available, trying to take the easy route. All that did was water down the overall pool of good PvP players with numbers, on Horde. More does not equal better.
Tol Barad for example, Alliance players have a much better chance to get in. Horde must wait in queue until Ally enter the battleground. All the other battlegrounds are cross-realm so local population has no bearing on it.
For Arena, it only takes a handful to create a good team. On this realm, for several seasons now, it has been the Alliance teams on top, for the realm.
The balance is shifting. Horde do not dominate PvP on this realm anymore. They are trying to hold on tenaciously to their heritage of domination, but it is not working. Now, they must stoop to glitching Tol Barad to get numbers superiority, they must systematically attack guild vent servers to disrupt events, they must get players into Alliance raids against Horde cities to listen in on communications and type the info into Horde trade channel.
These are some pretty desperate tactics. It is a good indication that the Horde are losing their grip on PvP domination on this realm. They know it, and we know it.
Play hard. Play Fair. Play Alliance!
