I get this all the time...except it's always,

"I was born in Mulgore."

In which case, an easy error to fix. Loved reading through the guide, Nelves ftw.

<3! Glad you liked.

Druids
Druids are a large part of Kaldorei culture, the Cenarion Enclave having slightly less power than the Temple of the Moon. Female druids are normally lower on the chain than males due to a lack of time spent in the Emerald Dream. There are two female Archdruids though both are doing ambassadorial duties. Take that as you will.

Druids are split into various branches of druidism; Pack, Claw, Talon, Fang and Wild. Druids of the Claw draw strength from the bear twins and take on bear forms and often wear pelts of those animals to connect with their spirit. Druids of the Talon revere Avianna have an affinity with birds of prey. Druids of the Pack attempted to imitate Goldrinn and became the first Worgen, their branch is discontinued. Druids of the Fang took on snake forms, they were perverted by the power of the Wailing Caverns and had to be put down. Druids of the Wild take on aspects of other animals, such as Nightsabers and aquatic forms.

I have a question regarding the Druids of the Pack, I am aware they are now known as the Druids of the Scythe and it seems that Ralaar Fangfire remains their leader as Alpha Prime.

However I am not clear if they are recognized by the other druid branches, I suppose we will find out more as the story unfolds, though I can't see Malfurion just ignoring them as they slowly grain control through the ritual of balance. At some point something will have to be done as the Scythe now comprises of both human and kaldorei (well more like savagekin now) and shows no sign of shrinking.

The Dryads we encountered while questing were very focused and serious about our little missions, but it was situational.. in that the situation was nature being horribly corrupted.

I can see Dryad suddenly getting a little more serious when nature is in danger, but alas they do have a reputation for being giggle mongers.

The Dryads we see are still very playful, even in dangerous situations. Off the top of my head I can remember:

-Ashenvale: One of the Dryads you encounter is almost dead, she directs you to the Satyr who has an artifact that was stolen. When you turn it in, her 'sister' says "I almost feel sad" at the news of her best friend being murdered.

-Hyjal: We see a Dryad actually acting like a ditz, threatening to give you 'puppy eyes' to save critters, talking about how to 'talk deer' with your nose, etc. This was while the forests were burning down around them, cultists slaying all in their path... and she was concerned with bunnies, fawns and squirrels.

and Don't forget Felwood with "Mr.Tauren" and his impromptu dryad nurse.

It was also known that the Kaldorei accidentally allowed for worgens to 'take shape' due to the druid of the pack stories Ive heard of. If this is wrong please tell me.. or if this is right please ellaborate.

Why can't tauren be born in Mulgore? I thought they have long been nomadic in that region, but settlements like Thunder Bluff and Bloodhoof Village are new.

This thread has inspired me to try playing a Night Elf. Thank you for taking the time to write this guide, and to everyone else who's constructively discussed it.

I'm not an expert on Worgen since they're fairly new but I'll answer as to my understanding.

The Kaldorei banned the Druids of the Pack soon after the branch was created. A number of druids then went into hiding to practice their craft, eventually succumbing to the feral side of their form.

The Circle became aware of them one way or another and they were sealed away. Thousands of years later we see the Worgen rise up in numbers through the Scythe of Elune and Argual's work.

It should be noted that we don't know how many true Worgen were brought into Azeroth. All it takes is for one human to be infected and then the curse runs rampant. We know that Arugal was actually experimenting with the curse, which is may explain the unique day/night changes the people of Pyrewood had shown.

TLDR: The Kaldorei didn't allow for the Worgen to be created, they were caused by renegades working against the Cenarion Circle's wishes.

Night Elf Propaganda: Kaldorei shouldn't feel ashamed or guilty for the Worgen's plight.
I love this thread and I love you.

That's normally how it goes. Kaldorei get a bad name because of a few mistakes made by a few individuals.

Sounds like a couple other situations where renegade Kaldorei did horrible things. But usually the race is repentant anyway.

I wouldn't really say practicing a branch of the druidic arts, then falling victim to it is necessarily a "horrible thing". Certainly not villainous. I mean not good obviously, but the Druids of the Pack weren't horrible people, just misguided.

I wouldn't say misguided. They sought to do what they wanted even after the enclave forbid it. They weren't evil but they aren't blameless.
