For those that would like to get the Achievement. Please post where (coordinates/nearby landmarks would be nice) and when (server time) you saw him.

Doesn't he just...wipe out an entire zone regardless of where you are in said zone?


Of course I could be wrong on that, haven't been paying much attention lately.

Yes he clears the whole zone and kills everyone in it. Sadly no sightings of Deathwing from me or anyone i know.

I heard he hit Tanaris earlier... and missed people haha

Another hunter in our guild got the achievement Wednesday (iirc) in Blasted Lands.

Unless it was another big nasty dragon, I swear I saw his shadow leaving a zone as I entered with my paladin. By the time I looked up he was gone. This was in Northern Stranglethorn.

Ironic how we all now want to throw ourselves into the fire for a little achievement.

Anyway, haven't seen hide nor hair of him, but I'll keep an eye out while exploring.

Haven't seen him myself, but a friend's guildie got killed in Blasted Lands as well.

It doesn't matter where he's at. All it matters is how many times Goldshire burns.

But Goldshire is the breadbasket of Alliance power. :( All our troops have to come from somewhere, y'know.

I'm not sure, but he *might* have been in Westfall. I was flying back into Westfall after going to talk with King Wrynn about the developments at the conclusion of Westfall's story, and the sky was dark and red, but that might have been a result of what was happening in Westfall (I don't want to give spoilers) instead of a Deathwing appearance. I asked in General if Deathwing had just hit the zone, but no one answered.

*shrug* The worrisome thing is I can't really get much out of just going to various zones to see the new stuff; I want to *do* things in them, which means if I get the achievement, it probably won't be on this toon (the one I'd want it on), but on the Paladin I'm currently leveling.

He got me yesterday while I was questing in Burning Steppes. 11/26/2010 about 1:00 AM server time.

Deathwing nukes the entire zone for about 45 seconds then takes off. I honestly don't think this tracking thread will help, but there's my info if it's discovered he has some kind of pattern.

Was just killed by Deathwing in the Blasted Lands near Dreadmaul Furnace at 7:30 PST and 10:30 EST. It seems from the other occurrences Deathwing is favoring already ravaged lands.

So perhaps there is a trend there.

Anyway, sky and everything else turned a creepy, hazy, blood red and then Deathwing appeared. He killed me and all the mobs around me. Definitely a cool experience.

What we do know is that he won't torch the same zone twice in one day, so if we can get as much info as we can per day we can at least narrow the attacks down and attempt to predict his next move.

I got fried on my paladin while taking a flight and got the achievement but didn't die. :)

Apparently he hit a little while ago in Stonetalon Mountains.

It's entirely random, and I'm fairly certain there's no rhyme or reason behind the attacks. But getting a thread going to maybe find a trend is a good idea.

Anyway. I got hit in Tanaris last night. Not sure if he torched the whole zone but I know for a fact he flew right over Gadgetzan.
