Like RP? Come See Scenic Cenarion Circle!

CC is home to me and it always will be. I have strayed recently and ended up in Wra. However I always wander back to CC no matter what I do. CC is an amazing realm with wonderful people and I love you all.

Also as soon as I can ACTUALLY get online Kablooey is recruiting.

There's a cross-faction Tavern Night that we're happy to help new characters get to tonight, if you'd like to stop by and see the server in action! The event starts at 7:30, and it part of an ongoing attempt to turn the empty city at Caer Darrow (outside the Scholomance instance) into a player-populated community site. Details here:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2927094992

Hope to see you there! If you need help getting to the event, just whisper anyone from the AAMS (either branch) or ask in your respective HordeOOC/AllianceOOC channels.

-- Fun Fact! Did you know that the Dwarven game "Drinky Drinky Drink-Drink" and the troll game "Pass Out Before You Die" are actually the same game, with only slight rules variants? Let's hear it for cultural education!

Aye still be a'remember'n tha first renew'l project yous AAMS lads and lasses host'd at Camp Taurajo. T'was an ex'llent even'n indeed. Fine drink and fine lassies. What more could a dwarf want! Treasure maybe... but 'ey, two outa three ain't bad!

The night be a a wee-bit hazzy, but aye do recall be'ng challeng'd by a certain Troll ta a drink'n contest. Hardly see why 'e tried, but light bless tha hethen anyway. He done give it his best, but in tha end ol' McFlinty 'ere drank that poor Troll under da table! Aye wager that Troll still be a sport'n a decent hang'over ta this day! Aye told that troll tha Dwarven stout had some kick, not like that Troll wine he be use to. Tha stuff ain't worth the mug ya put it in. May as well be drink'n water.

Anyway, good on ya lads and lasses o' the AAMS for yer fine an' upstanding work!

O', before aye forget. Fer all yer textile and cloth needs, visit McFlinty Textiles Inc! Prices so low you'd think aye was drunk!

I don't want to turn the thread into an AAMS advertisement -- we're just one of many good RP guilds on Cenarion Circle! Our website ( www.aams.guildportal.com ) has more information about the guild specifically.

In very short form, though, you mostly just need:

-- To be interested in roleplaying and in the AAMS goals specifically (cross-faction messaging, translation, peace-building efforts, etc.)

-- To have a character that works in a neutral, cross-faction guild (i.e., doesn't want to kill those bad guys over on the Horde/Alliance 'til they're ded ded ded).

-- To be a decent typist (not a snooty, elitist RPer thing, just a practical reality of the "job" -- translating for other people gets very hard if you fall behind!).

-- To not mind a small, RP-focused guild (guild level advances veerrry slooowwwly at the AAMS).

A lot of people find one or more of those a little demanding, which is fine -- like I said, there's lots of RP guilds on CC, many of them larger and more PvE- or PvP-focused than the AAMS/AAMS Alliance Branch. Something for everybody!

Stop on by, join the channels, and give us a try.

ah, didnt mean to make it sounds as if yours was the only one, i am merely looking to try my hand at RP as i am starting to get bored with the usual *Que for dungeons* *Wait for dungeons* *Finish dungeon* Rinse and Repeat, i had heard about RP servers before and thought of them as just glorified pve servers, but after browsing this forum for a bit i see that it could actually be really interesting, so i think i will be moving my character there,

i am also impressed with the level of organisation what with the 2 channels created for RP'ing on each side etc. really sounds like it could be alot of fun

I'm consistently impressed by the variety of things roleplayers on Cenarion Circle come up with.

The AAMS started when a couple of people decided it would be funny to send cross-faction love letters via the neutral AH.

Some peace-promoting roleplayers took to strolling the paths of Ashenvale as "Peace Walks." The peace-hating <Grim Maw Clan> gleefully announced an event for the same route, only going straight through the cities and leaving them in pieces, called the "Piece Walk."

Even non-roleplayers have to fear the mad Abominus skittering around Orgrimmar and throwing his maggots about, hissing "yesssss!" as he goes.

We've had two different "higher learning" guilds play a football knock-off called "bloodball" in the Gurubashi arena, complete with cheerleaders and snack vendors.

We're having a "box social" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box_social if you don't know) this Sunday.

It's hard to even pick what to promote. People just do clever things with their RP. Come see it for yourself!

I have yet to find any in-game roleplay. This is probably because I'm always out doing quests and things. I barely ever visit the main cities. I was wondering if there were any good cartel guilds on Cenarion Circle?

Have you joined the global RP channels yet?

HordeOOC (OOC channel)
Hearthstone (IC channel)

In my estimation, this is the best way to find RP Horde-side.

As for cartel guilds, I am not overly familiar with ALL of the RP guilds on Horde, but I seem to remember there being a few that should fit the bill. Check out the CC realm forums where we have a stickied thread listing the major (and minor) RP guilds actively recruiting.

Currently planning the server's first-ever "Azeroth State Fair" event. It's that time of year, right?

Stop on by to join in the fun, if you like; the event itself won't kick off for another week or so. You've got plenty of time to play an alt a bit, check the channels out, and see what you think of Cenarion Circle as a home for all your roleplaying needs!

The Maggot Lord skitters to his laboratory in the Grim Maw Clan fortress, mutterring about crossbreeds and mutagenic factors and plague roachs, cackling madly and leaving a trail of ichor and wriggling maggots in his wake.

Awww...after ten pages, I feel bad just saying "bump!"...quick, someone else say something nice about your experiences on CC!

Otherwise, ya know. Bump. Sorry.

I so love this place. Around May, my PvE guild flew apart, and several of my friends simply stopped playing. Ever since '04, I wanted to play RP, but I had LOADS of fun in Vanilla on a server I don't even remember the name of. I quit after TBC came out until last year.

I actually read about CC years ago while entertaining coming back...

So I pop over to CC in like June, and I'm instantly delighted with everything about it (I quickly learned to leave trade channel).

For those interested in RP but inexperienced, one of my Alliance alts is holding an encore of his delightful "Introduction to Roleplay" class this coming Saturday evening. Even if you don't end up making CC your home like I did, feel free to swing by (politely, mind you) and listen in. I have been diligently inviting every member of the guild Azeroth College to the event, so you can ask one of them for information. Hopefully they will pass the name to me or the GM of Azeroth College, and we'll get you all invited official-like.

I have been Alliance on my warrior for almost a month and I'm teetering on the edge of moving here entirely. Once I do some Horde side research of course.

The community has alot of friendly and open people who are easy to connect with, which makes for a positive environment everyone can enjoy!

Gentyl returned from her honeymoon, relaxed to the point of wearing a dress every day, maybe opening a small shop and settling down. It was time.

She stopped at the tax office and inquired about a permit to open a shop.

The human barely looked up at her when she rang the bell on the counter. "I'm right here. No need to ring the stupid bell. Take a number."

Gentyl looked around. "I'm the only one here."

"So it shouldn't take you too long to take a number then."

She took a number and sat down to wait. Fifteen minutes later he called her number. "State your name."

"You know me."

"State your name."

"Gentyl D'Amond-Turncutt."

He raised a brow. "Turncutt?"

She smiled. "Yes. I got married two weeks ago. I've been off on my honeymoon."

"Gods, finally found someone, huh? Thanks a lot. I just lost five gold. Didn't figure you'd ever find anyone."

Gentyl flinched. "I'm not that bad. Plus my chastity cat is missing. It makes things a bit easier to date when a huge feral druid isn't ripping arms off men if they sit too close."

"Yeah, yeah. State your business."

"I want to open a bakery."

He dropped his quill and fell off his chair laughing. When he finally caught his breath, he wheezed out. "You? You've been banned by the king from baking."

"That was a slight misunderstanding. I intend to petition him to lift the ban."

"Good luck with that one. He's still replacing windows and chunks of wall from your cookies the horde bought to use for projectile missiles."

"I'm getting better. I've been practicing."

He picked up his quill. "In whose oven? All bakers have been warned not to let you use their ovens under penalty of law."

"Forget it. I didn't want to bake anyway." She huffed out of the office and to the Recluse to restore her peace. She'd sit down with a nice cup of tea, maybe a cherry grog, and relax before she went to the guild hall to check on the troops.

Joachim promptly presented her with a bill for 98 gold for cherry grog, signed for by Mira and Meriste, her squires. "What's this for?" she asked.

"They said they were told to keep Traveler happy while you were gone."

"I wanted him fed and groomed and given a little grog for his knees. The last thing I need is a war horse who's been on a two-week bender." She paid the bill and ordered some spiced tea.

Ah, yes, this works. Now, what kind of shop should she open? Maybe she should learn to sew and open a tailor shop.

The rogue hit her before she could even dodge. She fumbled for her weapon and fought back, but if it hadn't been for the other patrons in the inn, her new husband would have been a widower the first day back at shore.

A small note stuck out of the forsaken's pocket. "Welcome home!" was scrawled in crude letters.

She read the note and stared down at the rogue's body. "Umm, thanks Icharis."

A man she had never met staggered over to her and got down on one knee, after several attempts, then lifted up a rose. "I halff loved you from the firsht time I ever shaw you."

Gentyl looked around to see if this was some kind of joke. "Do I know you?"

"Nope, jusht shaw you."

"Then how do you know you love me?"

He extended the bedraggled rose. "Will you marry me?"

"I'm already married, sir."

"Shomebody shtole you while I washn't looking?"

Gentyl looked around the inn. "What's happening, please?'

"Your new love potion passion punch," replied a patron.

"What? I don't make potions. Certainly not love potions."

He handed her the flier listing all the flavors of punch laced with LV-o1 potion and sponsored by Gentyl.

"What the fel? I didn't sponsor a passion punch."

"Yes, you did," said Zaium. "You said you wanted to potions tested before you sent them to the horde."

"I said I wished the horde would make more love and less war and sending them some limes to improve their romantic humours might be a good idea." She hooked her thumb at the rogue lying on the floor who had tried to kill her a moment ago. "Maybe if he's busy courting some cute forsaken female he won't be trying to kill me all the time."

"I don't think the forsaken have any humours, romantic or otherwise, Gentyl," a man said from across the inn where a smitten barmaid had him cornered. "Madam, please, take your hands...no, please, really, not in public."

Gentyl looked around the inn again. Maybe she'd just head to the practice field. It was much more peaceful there.

((The roleplay on CC is seldom what you expected.))

I saw this thread the other day and decided to make this warrior there. I joined the alliance channels and really enjoyed the conversation and atmosphere the players created. So far, it's been fantastic in my opinion.

The OOC channels really can give a feeling of community that seems to be so lackluster in todays game of WoW.

This is probably one the biggest upsides to the server, and there are a lot of them.
Everyone in both Alliance and Horde ooc channels are funny and always helpful.

"Hello, Q42!" Rhumple exclaimed as Gentyl walked in the Recluse.

"Hey, Rhumple," she replied to the tiny gnome. "I thought I was Q48?"

He looked puzzled. "Why would I name you Q48? That doesn't even rhyme."

"I see. What happened to the original Q42?"

He put his hands on his hips. "You're going to be difficult again, aren't you? Well, no matter. I'm in a good mood because it's Gnomeregan Appreciation Century. Here, have some herbs to celebrate."

"The last stuff you gave me turned me into a lizard."

"Why must you always be so difficult? How are you still married?'

"He's off at seas."

The gnome snorted. "That shows what you know." He leaned forward and whispered. "I have it on good authority he's moved on and he is actually at Dee's, but don't tell him I told you."
