Oh, uh... apologies... I was so excited to see all the new faces that I forgot to get out of my work cloths and into my best attire. Oh... and I didn't have time to bathe and was still covered with a bit of gore from that last fight in the AV. Um...er... and I lost my monocle when I went into cat form. Never could figure out a way to keep it in place when changing forms.
But I clean up well, and look absolutely smashing when I do!

Sunday: The Darnassian Forums. The warrior's terrace in Darnassus is the place and Kyalin of Azure Crusade is the host. This is a forum with a wide variety of speakers and topics. 7:00.

On alternate Mondays Pia hosts the Troubadour Night which is in IF Explorer's Hall at 6:00 server. We encourage everyone to attend and entertain or just be entertained. Songs, jokes, stories as long as they are pg-13. It's a family friendly event.
We switch between the clinic and TN for a bit of variety.
Tuesday is the Feathers Of Iron tavern in Booty Bay where Miss Cup, the battle chef, prepares some awesome food for their guests. Tried her fried chicken, it's the best. Cup is joined in hosting by Miss Kixek also of Feathers Of Iron and Miss marikuu who tends bar.
On horde side, Da Doctas hosts their clinic in Ogrimmar, near the portals I believe. 7:00. This is, to my knowledge, the oldest consecutive running rp event on the server.

Wednesday - (Horde) Every other week, the Modas il Toralar hosts the Black Hand Society, a gathering that largely consists of... well, we'll call them slightly amoral. Most are socialite types, but not all :P 6:30 (Per Raoul)
Thursday is campfire storytelling night hosted by Pia. We switch the places around, but it's usually in a starter area so we can encourage youngsters to rp. We also give away gear, pets and bags to the wee folk while sharing tales of adventure and lore. We always welcome new storytellers, escpecially if you enjoy discussing lore. This is at 6:00. Look for the campfire, which invariably gets placed to set someone right on fire.
Thursday - horde/alliance The current day for fishing, at 7 server, though the location is dynamic.
We'll be moving it to Sunday soon... maybe even this week, actually, though, we'll still have it today. We don't have an actual date picked due to the schedule mishap, heh, but if you check back around six server I'll put something up. Unless our cross-server friends that might be interested have any suggestions? per raoul)
Beginning the first Saturday of September, Pia will host a role play class for new role players or people who would just like to sit in or even help teach. This will be for the first two Saturdays of each month We would also love to have people help teach lore. The more the merrier.
Saturday - A lounge night just to relax at Hardwrench Hideaway in STV, also happens at 7. (Noticing a pattern? We like to keep it consistent, heh.)
Every second Saturday of the month, it goes on hiatus for a lore night instead. Basically, we pick a subject, a location relevant to that subject, and just have an open discussion about it. Folks with prepared speeches or stories, debate or conversation, ect. Next one is September 15th, in Nagrand, with the subject being the First War.
Note that despite certain natures of the event (Ie clinic being used for the healing of others, and fishing being primarily... well, an rp excuse to level fishing,) you don't /have/ to come to those events just for those purposes. They all serve the function of social gatherings as well, and are nice enough to just chat up folks nearby.
As a note for fishing, its not Horde specific - we don't have any official translators, but feel free to show up even if you're Alliance :) per Raoul

Hey, I just had an idea... what if we host a cross realm event in any of the cities? Could be a sanctuary like Shattrath or Dalaran, so both factions can attend.
I think we're forgetting one thing about the cross-realm zones. It's for low population areas. If we start population these places with people across servers won't it stop populating the areas?
The list for Horde is a tad inaccurate, heh.
Sunday - Currently clear, but we're switching fishing to this date temporarily as its the only other day Dernes will be able to show up to it do to some schedule changes. The location is dynamic, so I guess I have to start keeping that thread updated again, huh?

But, back on sorta-topic, I could see doing very small cross-realm events, but once too many people from one server start arriving, I'd worry about getting phased out. And I'm not sure if we could accurately predict if people will end up in the same phase when realms merge. I do think I've seen more SoE people than other realms. It would be neat to run some experiments!
