I do not mind the cross server thing pretty much, I see a lot of Wyrmrest Accord too and even the occational Blackwater Raiders and Farstriders. The only thing that bugs me is it is so random. And you really cannot count on being in a certain place and actually having some cross realm people there. Or pick and choose where or when you will be in a cross realm.
But another word of caution. I did see it mentioned. If the towns you were used to being empty suddenly have someone from other realms, keep in mind no one owns a building or place to rp in. I would say first come and first one to be there with an event will do. So be courteous to everyone please.
